Seaforth Cottage is a beautifully appointed and extremely well equipped home with outdoor pool and fabulous sea and mountain views. It is situated on the outskirts of Simon's Town, southeast of Cape Town, on the beautiful False Bay peninsula. The beautiful, sandy Seaforth beach is just across the road and Boulders Beach, home of a large colony of jackass penguins, is just 5 minutes walk away.

You can often see whales in the bay from the cottage as they come close to the shore to calve their babies during the months of August - December.

The Accommodation

Seaforth Cottage is beautifully furnished with much of the furniture being lime-wash cottonwood. It has high reed ceilings with a lime-wash wall finish and quarry tiled flooring. The spacious lounge has two very comfortable two-seater sofas and an armchair, plus TV with video player, DVD player and CD music system. This leads to the open plan dining room, with seating for six, and on to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a full size electric cooker, large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble drier and microwave plus a full compliment of smaller appliances including toaster, jug kettle, coffee machine and juicer as well as ample cutlery, crockery and glasses.

There are two double bedrooms, each with a verandah with wonderful sea view. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with under floor heating and heated towel rails. The main upstairs bedroom has a queen size double bed and the second bedroom on the ground floor has two single beds. There is also available a folding 'Z' bed in the second bedroom.

The cottage is professionally managed on our behalf by our resident family representative, who will be on hand to meet you and to help with any specific requirements in addition to supervising the cleaning of the property and the regular change of towels and linen. We provide:

A welcome food pack including wine and fresh flowers on arrival
You will also find tea towels, J-cloths, washing up liquid
The bedding consists of sprung mattresses,duvets and 2 pillows per person and we provide towels including beach towels
Barbecue charcoal and firelighters
There is also a telephone/fax/answering machine for incoming and outgoing calls

The Local Area

Located on the eastern seaboard where the sea is much warmer, you are only 2 minutes walk from the sandy Seaforth beach and Seaforth restaurant. Boulders Beach penguin colony is just 5 minutes walk. Simons Town is a few minutes walk away with ample choice of restaurants, shops and places of interest. Boat trips can be taken from the harbour and excellent meals al fresco with sea and harbour views. The city of Cape Town is only about 40 minutes by car, as are the busy cosmopolitan resorts of Camps Bay and Hout Bay. The beautiful wine lands of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are also within easy reach by car or organised tour.

Direct flights to Cape Town from Heathrow can be arranged with either British Airways or South African Airways or with various airlines from most Regional UK Airports via Amsterdam, Paris or Brussels, and are booked only with ATOL and ABTA bonded agents.
